Helping Fussy Babies

The Happiest Baby on the Block

In his recent book, The Happiest Baby on the Block, Dr. Harvey Karp talks about swaddling. Swaddling is a technique whereby your baby is wrapped fairly snug so that his or her arms and legs are less likely to flail around and trigger fretful crying. Dr. Karp's ideas are often helpful, harmless and not habit forming. We have handouts on swaddling at the office.
